Dr. Jason E. Aird
Audiologist, President and CEO
Dr. Aird
grew up in Dubuque, IA, and earned his BA and MA
degrees from the University of Northern Iowa in 1992
and 1994 respectively. After a clinical
residency in Audiology at University of Iowa
Hospitals, Dr. Aird joined the staff at Iowa
Audiology and Hearing Aid Centers in 1995. He
earned his Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from
the University of Florida. Dr. Aird is a
member of the American Academy of Audiology, the
American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the
Iowa Association of Hearing
Health Professionals. Dr. Aird was
appointed by Governor Tom Vilsack in 2004 to serve
on the Iowa Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology
Examiners. Dr. Aird enjoys spending time with
his family, bicycling, and camping. He is married to
the former Krista Johnson of Winfield, IA, and has
two daughters, Lauren and Rachel. |

Dr. Ken Lowder
Audiologist
Dr.
Lowder grew up in Lovington, IL, earned his
Bachelors Degree from Eastern Illinois University in
1964 and his Masters Degree from Chicago’s DePaul
University in 1969. After working in the
Evanston, IL, public schools, he moved to Iowa City
in 1968. He worked as a speech and hearing
consultant for the University of Iowa until 1981
when he founded Iowa Audiology and Hearing Aid
Centers at its current location in Coralville, IA.
He earned his Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree
from the University of Florida. Dr. Lowder has
served two terms as President of the
Iowa Association of Hearing
Health Professionals. He is a
member of the Academy of Dispensing Audiologists,
the American Academy of Audiology and is Chair of
the Audiology Foundation of America. He was
appointed by former governor Terry Branstad to
Iowa's Speech Pathology and Audiology Board of
Examiners in 1998 and served as the Chair of the
Board for four years. He is married to the
former Mary Wilmeth of Iowa City and has one son,
Jarryd, a computer artist who lives in New York
City. Outside of his work, he is an avid
birdwatcher, holds a private pilot’s license and
plays tennis. |

Dr. Stacy Rebal
Audiologist
Dr.
Rebal grew up in Iowa City, IA and earned her B.A.
from the University of Iowa in 1993. She
earned her M.S. in Audiology from Idaho State
Universtiy in 1994 and also has her Doctor of
Audiology (Au.D.) degree through the Arizona School
of Health Sciences. Dr. Rebal has moved from
Tuscon, AZ to Iowa City to join the Iowa Audiology
team. After living away from Iowa and
practicing Audiology for over ten years, she is very
happy to be closer to her family and friends.
Dr. Rebal is a member of the American Academy of
Audiology and the
Iowa Association of Hearing
Health Professionals. She currently
staffs our Washington, Muscatine, Tipton, Marengo,
and Sigourney offices. Dr. Rebal enjoys
reading, hiking, and spending time with her family. |

Nathan
Sams
Director of Operations
Nathan
was raised in the Iowa City area. He is a
graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor
of Business Administration degree. Nathan has
a double major in Finance and Marketing.
Nathan enjoys music, reading, and snowboarding.
He lives in Cedar Rapids with his wife, Amy. |

Patty
DeSimone
Practice Manager
Patty
was born and raised in Staten, Island, New York. She
has been an Iowa City resident since attending the
University of Iowa in 1987. She has an Associate
Degree in Office Administration from Kirkwood
Community College. Patty enjoys spending time with
her family, Calvin Sr. and her two children, Calvin
Jr. and Simone. |

Office Manager/Marketing Director - Washington
Office
Shannon
was born and raised in Washington. Shannon is
married to Justin and the couple have two sons,
Austin and Ethan. She enjoys spending her
spare time with family and friends. |
